Home is where the art is for extra care residents
Our James Hill House residents revealed their creative flair at an art exhibition attended by their friends and families. Displaying artwork created over lockdown, the socially distanced event was streamed to other Octavia schemes including Bridgewater and Leonora House.
Residents across our seven extra care schemes have taken quarantine crafts to the next level, with their creations including model homes, sculptures and painted landscapes.
The fun-filled evening was a big hit with residents and staff alike, as they tucked into homemade cake whilst admiring their handiwork.
Our Care staff are taking stringent measures to help keep people shielded and safe. They are also paying special attention to supporting the wellbeing of residents, through activities including arts and crafts, zoom yoga and exercise bike sessions. As well as running activities that keep people entertained and engaged with others, staff are providing reassuring company and emotional support during what has been a worrying time for our residents.
