Remembering Grenfell
Today is the 5th anniversary of the Grenfell fire and our thoughts are with the bereaved, survivors and their family and friends.
People will be coming together in different ways to remember those who died and to support one another.
As in previous years, events are being mostly led by the community, however there are several larger events planned which people can join. These include:
- a Christian service at Westminster Abbey at 11am open to people of all faiths (booking required)
- a multi-faith service at Grenfell Tower at 4pm (open to bereaved, survivors and members of the local community)
- a Grenfell Silent Walk, which is expected to start at 6.30pm from Notting Hill Methodist Church.
A number of local groups and organisations are also planning activities and many of these are being promoted via social media.
For local organisations planning to hold an event, RBKC is offering to support them by sharing details of events and activities through their channels. Information should be emailed to grenfellrecovery@rbkc.gov.uk.
